Raymond Campbell was born in Surrey, England in 1956,and was convinced even as a schoolboy that he could make his living as an artist. After travelling and studying throughout Europe in the late 1970's, and having tried his hand in numerous different jobs, Ray returned to England to begin life as a professional artist. He was greatly influenced by the great Dutch Masters who inspired him to paint his still life in the Flemish tradition. He has now developed his own individual style that is widely recognised and admired. Ray has exhibited throughout the U.K and the U.S.A, and has been successful at the Summer Exhibitions at the Royal Academy London.
