Alan Smith

Alan Smith is a self-taught painter. When he was 12 years old he and his family moved to the south coast of England from Kiel, Germany. His home ever since has been in the UK.

During his professional life he travelled a lot thanks to a career as an engineer and used his free time to paint. He is now retired and dedicates his life to painting.

His travels around the UK give him the material and inspiration for his current work. Although he started painting with water colours, he now works exclusively with acrylics and oils.
