David Renshaw 'Northern Romance' - Paintings

‘Northern Romance’ and Landscape artist, David Renshaw’s paintings are admired for their strong colour, composition and storytelling.

Born in Southport in 1973, David Renshaw had a passion for art from an early age and during his school years, he soon recognised that his artistic skills would determine his future. His creative ability led him to studying graphic design where he learned various types of media to create different artwork.

Alongside his studying, David Renshaw began painting commissions for people consisting for the most part of watercolours and pencil sketches. After working for many years in the picture framing industry he eventually decided it was time to follow his dreams and resigned from his career to concentrate on his artwork full time.

As well as his spectacular landscapes, David Renshaw is well known for his hugely popular ‘Northern Romance’ paintings. He takes us on a journey with his characters ‘Ted and Doris’ who travel the British landscape on their adventures together. You will always see a red heart in these paintings which symbolises the enduring love between a couple.
