Brian was born in Sedbergh and has lived in the Lakes all his life. He began an apprenticeship in carpentry and joinery aged 15. Brian started woodturning five years ago as a hobby; his favourite wood to work with is Yew as the final product has a good finish. He enjoys seeing the shape of the wood evolve, and is continually striving to improve his skills, which gives him great satisfaction
