Born 1995. Nathan grew up in Stroud, Gloucestershire and moved to the Lake District to study Wildlife Media at Cumbria University. He graduated with first class honours in 2019 and worked as a cameraman for Terry Abraham on his Life of a Mountain Helvellyn film. This included not only filming the landscape but the people living and working within it. He was captivated by the landscape of the Lake District National Park and never left.
Nathan ‘s interest in photography has been inspired by Peter Lik and Ansel Adams. He will regularly visit the same locations waiting for the weather and light to match the image he wants to capture and he loves the fact that you can go to the same place and photograph the same subject many times throughout the year and still come away with something different.
“I like to capture Lakeland in its wildest form and focus on fleeting and intimate moments of beauty, light and nature”
Nathan is passionate about protecting this landscape and the wildlife which depends on it and documenting the detail, seasonal changes and variations of light on the fells feels like a fundamental part of his life.
